DEBBIE DAVIES: Our Friday night headliner is the extraordinary guitarist Debbie Davies, winner of the 2010 BMA Koko Taylor "Traditional Female Blues Artist" award. Davies was the featured guitarist in Albert Collins' band for three years and has played and recorded with a "Who's Who" of blues superstars.

RANDY OXFORD: Also performing on Friday evening is dynamic trombonist Randy Oxford, winner of multiple awards including the 2010 Best of the Blues "Best Blues Horn" award. Oxford also made it to the finals of the 2011 IBC in Memphis, representing the Washington Blues Society and tours worldwide.

TY CURTIS BAND: This Oregon based blues/rock band has won several awards, including taking second place in the 2009 International Blues Challenge finals. They are a NW favorite and will deliver a dynamic show.

MIA VERMILLION: With a #2 hit on B.B. King's Bluesville and a great set at 2011 Waterfront Blues Festival under her belt, Vermillion has been rising quickly in the blues scene and will kick off this years' festival with the opening set on Friday. "One of the best vocalists I've heard in a while", Graham Clarke, Blues Bytes Magazine. Mia and guitarist Orville Johnson represented the Washington Blues Society at the 2010 IBC competition.

THE BREWKETTS: are Mike Brewer, Pete "The Beat" Berger and Russ Whitlatch, three seasoned, in demand musicians who can play it all, and tonight they'll be playing THE BLUES!

MUD PUPPY: Comming soon!

Saturday, August 4:

RICK ESTRIN & THE NIGHTCATS: Our Saturday night headliner, he ranks among the very best harp players, singers, and songwriters in the blues world today. Rick has also been nominated for the 2012 Blues Music Award nomination in the category of "Instrumentalist - Harmonica".

BROTHER YUSEF: On Saturday night, blues dancers will be unable to stand still during the hard driving set of highly regarded master guitarist Brother Yusef. You won't believe your ears, and you won't be able to get out on that dance floor fast enough!

NATHAN JAMES: Twenty seconds into the first song on his set, and you'll understand why Nathan won the 2007 International Blues Challenge with then partner Ben Hernandez. After touring as James Harmans' guitarist for 3 1/2 years, Harman says "Of the 65 or so great guitar players I've had in my band since the early 60's, Nathan James is easily the A#1 hands-down stand-out".

MIRIAM’S WELL: “Miriams Well is one of the most exciting bands to come out of Portland in a long time. Miriam’s unique soulful and bluesy voice is complemented and highlighted by the backing of a truly outstanding band... A force to be reckoned with...” - Robyn Shanti, host of The Dharma Well on KBOO 90.7FM, Portland, OR. That pretty much sums up our Rooster’s Stage opener on Saturday afternoon. They tore up the stage at 2011 Waterfront.

TED VAUGHN BLUES BAND: The Ted Vaughn Blues Band has just released their long awaited self titled CD utilizing the production team of Leon-Forrest and Paul Carlsen (Nirvana, Greg Allman, The Doors) on Harbinger Northwest Records. The recording has garnered critical acclaim around the world. In September of 2011, due to the popularity of their original song "Nothin But Trouble" ,TTVBB was listed as one of the "Top 10" bands for worldwide airplay on Jango internet radio.

MADMAN SAM: Sam represents the Cascade Blues Association at the 2012 IBC in Memphis in the solo/duo competition. His electrifying roots blues show is perfect to headline the Papa Soul Stomp Stage on Saturday. You will not be able to sit still!

EAGLE PARK SLIM: This Eugene blues icon will open the festival on Saturday afternoon on Papa’s stage, pounding out classics and originals along with several special guests while we help him celebrate his 70th birthday. What a party this will be!

JERRY ZYBACH & JOHN BRYSON: A well a respected, Eugene based Northwest roots blues duo.  Zybach plays original and covers and is known as Cigar Box Jerry on his handmade instruments.  Bryson adds soulful blues harmonica to the mix.  They are joined at WVBBF this year by former Roy Rogers bassist Scoop McGuire, forming a trio that shouldn't be missed.

More to come--we'll see you at the park!!
